A total of nine political parties are running for the Upper House for the island

Senate Candidates for Lanzarote

The Official State Gazette (BOE) has already published the candidacies for the Senate for Lanzarote. A total of nine political parties have presented their chosen ones to represent them in the general elections on July 23, where the members of the Upper House will also be decided.

The PSOE of Lanzarote has presented as a candidate the current senator Manuel Fajardo Palarea and Cristina Duque and Miguel Merino as substitutes.

For its part, the Popular Party has opted for Jeziel Martín, who was the popular candidate for the mayoralty of San Bartolomé and is now an elected councilor in the opposition. Saray Rodríguez and Abraham Romero are substitutes.

Coalición Canaria, the elected councilor of Yaiza Emilio Machín and the substitutes María Dayana Pérez and José Bruno Ramírez.

The confluence of left-wing parties Sumar Canarias has chosen the Podemos militant Nona Perera and Víctor Rodríguez and Yurena Ramírez as substitutes.

Nueva Canarias - Canarista Bloc (NC-BC) has designated Carmen Belén Machín and Servando Pérez as substitute.

The far-right formation Vox has announced that it will be María Esther Tamargo, the party's candidate for Tías, and Jorge Enrique Barrios and Mónica Casanueva as substitutes.

Other candidacies

In addition, other candidacies have been presented:

Recortes Cero has reported that its candidate is Josep Rafael Sellés, as well as Francisca Teresa Doreste and Concepción González as substitutes.

Meanwhile, the Animalist Party with the Environment (PACMA) has pointed to Ainhoa del Carmen Arroyo and as seconds Jerónimo Iván Artiles or Beatriz Fernández.

To conclude, Ahora Canarias-Partido Comunista del Pueblo Canario (Ahora Canarias-PCPC) has presented Juan Samper and as seconds María del Carmen Pérez and Mario Olivares.
