Last day to apply for student transport aid in Teguise

The Education area also reminds that the Luis Ramírez scholarships, a 500 euro aid aimed at university students and official studies in Teguise who are studying abroad, can be applied for until January 25.

The Teguise City Council reminds that this January 5 at 11:59 p.m. is the deadline to submit the application for transport aid for students residing in the municipality of Teguise for the 2022-2023 school year.

A total of 300 thousand euros are allocated to cover these aids, whose beneficiaries are students residing in the municipality enrolled in the current course in the modalities of Baccalaureate, training cycles and university studies that meet the requirements demanded in the bases.

The objective is to cover the travel expenses made for this purpose, for which a total amount of 300,000 euros will be allocated this year, corresponding to 150 euros for studies within the island, 500 euros outside the island (rest of the Canary Islands) and 600 euros outside the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands, in order to reach the maximum number of students possible.

 

Luis Ramírez Scholarships, until January 25

In addition, the Teguise Education area reminds that the deadline to apply for scholarships named after Luis Ramírez, a prominent philanthropist native to Lanzarote, who died in 1950 and bequeathed his fortune of the time to the patronage of young people without resources so that they could access higher education, remains open.

A 500 euro aid aimed at university students and official studies in Teguise who are studying outside of Lanzarote, which can be requested until January 25.

In this case, Teguise has provided on its official website, www.teguise.es, the  registration form so that 3 students from Teguise, -of which one must be for La Graciosa-, can apply for it, which amounts to 500 euros per course.
