The Lanzarote con Palestina collective calls again on the island's population to a public demonstration in order to help denounce "the Nakba, the genocide, the wars, and the gag orders affecting Palestine and international solidarity". The march, called for this Saturday at 12:00 PM, will depart from Cuatro Esquinas in Arrecife and will proceed along Calle Real to the entrance of the Pier, where manifestos and declarations will be read.

As the citizen entity recalls, "the Nakba, which began 78 years ago with the forced expulsion of the Palestinian people, continues in the form of occupation, apartheid, and genocide in Gaza, the West Bank, and the communities of '48".

For this reason, they consider "unrenounceable the denunciation of the destruction of homes, the expulsions, the humanitarian blockade, legal discrimination, and the denial of the right of return, in addition to the expansion of violence and ethnic cleansing by Israel, with special mention of the freedom of Palestinians suffering torture in Israeli prisons", whose liberation they demand.

"We demand, once again, an arms embargo on Israel, the rupture of diplomatic, economic, cultural, and military relations, and the closure of US military bases in Spain; and we denounce the repression against solidarity movements using surveillance technologies, and we affirm that oppression in Palestine is a model for other forms of social control", they have declared.
