The Cabildo of Lanzarote congratulates the Lanzarote team that participated, last weekend, in the National Meeting of Rescue in Traffic Accidents (ENRATT), in which the firefighters achieved fourth place in the general classification and third place in the command category.

“This fourth national place and the podium in command are a reflection of the professionalism, discipline, and level of technical excellence that our firefighters possess. Competing against the best services from all over the country and being close to the general podium shows that Lanzarote has a cutting-edge security force,” assured the president of the Cabildo, Oswaldo Betancort.

For his part, the president of the Consortium, Francisco J. Aparicio, explained the technical difficulty of the tests overcome, “where the island personnel had to resolve complex simulated accident scenarios under great time and evaluation pressure”. “We want to congratulate from the heart each of the team members for their involvement and for the hours of training invested. Having placed third in Spain in the command category confirms the excellent strategic capacity and quick decision-making of our professionals in extreme situations, something that directly impacts the improvement of care and the lives we save every day on the roads of Lanzarote and La Graciosa," added Aparicio.

The Lanzarote team completed its journey in the state tournament after precisely and with great coordination executing the 'indeterminate maneuver 2' last Thursday and 'indeterminate maneuver 1' during Friday afternoon. In both interventions, the committee judges evaluated critical parameters with the highest demands, such as risk control in the accident zone, the safety of the technical team, expertise in mechanical vehicle cutting, and, as a priority, the quality of immediate medical attention provided to the trapped victim, consolidating the island Consortium in the elite of national rescue.
