Lanzarote will hold on the morning of this Wednesday, April 22, a simulation of an air accident in the vicinity of Montaña Mina, in the municipality of San Bartolomé.
According to the city council, it is a general aeronautical drill, which will begin from 10:30 in the morning.
This drill will simulate a fictitious air accident outside the airport, in which different emergency services will be activated. The council has warned that different emergency services will be activated, vehicles, sirens and operational movements may be observed in the area. However, this activity does not imply any real risk for the population.
"These types of actions are fundamental to improve coordination and response to real emergency situations", the San Bartolomé council has indicated in a statement.
At the same time, it has asked the population to remain calm, avoid approaching the exercise area and follow at all times the instructions of the security services.
