The Governing Council of the Cabildo de Lanzarote has approved this Monday the call for grants aimed at non-profit organizations for the development of social intervention projects during the 2026 fiscal year, a line of aid endowed with 933,801.95 euros and aimed at supporting initiatives that contribute to improving the quality of life of the most vulnerable groups in Lanzarote and La Graciosa.
The call includes funding for projects related to childhood and families, equality and diversity, care for people with disabilities or in situations of dependency, social inclusion, addictions, immigration, and other social actions that respond to basic and emerging needs of the population.
The president of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, Oswaldo Betancort, points out that "social entities carry out essential work on our island and know firsthand the needs of many families and groups. With this call, we continue to collaborate with the third sector to continue building a more just, cohesive society with greater opportunities for all."
For his part, the Minister of Social Welfare and Inclusion, Marci Acuña, pointed out that "we have designed a broad call adapted to the social reality of Lanzarote and La Graciosa, which allows us to support everything from accompaniment and specialized care projects to initiatives for inclusion, accessibility, or prevention of social exclusion."
The call will be processed through competitive bidding and will allow financing of projects promoted by non-profit organizations established in Lanzarote and La Graciosa. Among the subsidizable lines are also actions linked to the Insular Strategy for Accessibility and Inclusion, support programs for people with disabilities, projects for the prevention of unwanted loneliness, care for homeless people, and integration actions for the migrant population.
Interested entities will have a period of twenty business days from the publication of the call in the Official Gazette of the Province to submit their applications through the electronic headquarters of the Cabildo de Lanzarote.
