Aguas de Lanzarote y La Graciosa, the Integral Water Service managed by the Lanzarote Water Consortium, begins a new stage with the implementation of its new corporate identity and the launch of its new website, conceived as a space for information and citizen attention that will grow progressively over the coming months.
The new identity was approved this Monday by the Assembly of the Lanzarote Water Consortium and is born to accompany the consolidation of the new public management model of the integral water cycle in Lanzarote and La Graciosa. "More than a change of image, it represents a new way of identifying an essential public service, close to the citizens and committed to the territory," they point out.
Its design is inspired by the very history of water on both islands. For centuries, scarcity forced the development of a culture based on ingenuity, collective effort, and responsible use of a resource as valuable as it is limited. That heritage constitutes today the basis on which this new identity is built.
The symbol incorporates two elements closely linked to the landscape and water culture. The triangle represents the island territory and its volcanic origin, while the wave evokes water and the historical hydraulic infrastructures —such as the alcogidas, maretas, aljibes, or the Famara galleries— that allowed generations to collect, conduct, and conserve an essential resource for life.
With this identity, Aguas de Lanzarote y La Graciosa "wants to project a modern public organization, but deeply linked to the history of islands that have known how to understand their environment and adapt to it, making water an example of culture, responsibility, and collective commitment."
The new identity will be progressively incorporated into the website, vehicles, offices, uniforms, documentation, communications, and other corporate supports, accompanying the transformation process that the service has been undergoing since the beginning of direct management by the Lanzarote Water Consortium.
"The implementation of this new identity and new digital channels constitutes a new step in the consolidation of Aguas de Lanzarote y La Graciosa, a public organization that continues to develop its own tools, procedures, and service channels to offer a service that is increasingly close, modern, transparent, and adapted to the needs of Lanzarote and La Graciosa," they argue.
From Aguas de Lanzarote y La Graciosa, they state that "they are thus beginning a new stage inspired by a legacy of ingenuity, culture, and shared responsibility, with the commitment to continue guaranteeing an essential public service for the present and future of Lanzarote and La Graciosa.
