From the Tías town hall, all individuals, professionals and public passenger transport service companies operating in the municipality are informed that, due to the celebration of the 2023 Carnival in Puerto del Carmen, the cutting and diversion of some streets will take place on February 24, 25 and 26, 2023.
Friday, February 24:
1. From 6:00 p.m. on Friday, February 24 to 5:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 25: parking will be prohibited on Calle Teide, in the section between Calle Lanzarote and Calle Mesana; on Calle Lanzarote; and in the loading and unloading areas of Calle Roque Nublo located near the intersection with Calle Teide.
2. From 7:30 p.m. on Friday, February 24 to 5:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 25, Calle Lanzarote will be closed to traffic, except for authorized vehicles and users of the service station in the port area, provided that safety conditions allow it.
3. As a result of the above, the Taxi Rank on Calle Lanzarote will be canceled between 7:30 p.m. on Friday, February 24 and 5:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 25, moving to the area enabled for this purpose on Calle Roque Nublo.
4. From 10:00 p.m. on Friday, February 24 to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 25, parking and traffic will be prohibited on Calle Suecia in the space between Calle Portugal and Avenida Italia, in order to enable an area reserved for parking of the elements authorized and defined by the "RULES FOR THE PARTICIPATION OF FLOATS AND DECORATED CARS IN THE GREAT CARNIVAL PARADE OF PUERTO DEL CARMEN 2023". Similarly, parking will be prohibited on Avenida Italia in a space between Avenida Las Playas and Calle Holanda, in order to expand the area reserved to allow prior parking of said elements.
Saturday, February 25:
1. The circulation of vehicles will be prohibited except for authorized vehicles and those defined and authorized in the "RULES FOR THE PARTICIPATION OF FLOATS AND DECORATED CARS IN THE GREAT CARNIVAL PARADE OF PUERTO DEL CARMEN 2023", the following roads:
- From 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 25:
• On Avenida Italia, between Avenida Francia and Avenida Las Playas.
• On Avenida Las Playas, in the section between Avenida Italia and Calle Acatife.
From 5:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 25:
On Avenida Las Playas, in the section between Calle Acatife and Calle Timanfaya.
On Calle Timafaya, in the section between Calle Alegranza and Calle Juan Carlos l.
• On Calle Juan Carlos l, in the section between Calle Manguia and Rambla Islas Canarias.
Sunday, February 26:
1. From 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., parking was prohibited on the following roads:
On Calle Lanzarote.
On Calle Teide in the section between Calle Lanzarote and Calle Los Afrechos.
On Calle Los Afrechos.
2. From 9:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m., the circulation of vehicles will be prohibited, except for authorized vehicles, on Calle Los Afrechos in the section between Calle Roque Nublo and Calle El Toscón.
3. From 10:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., the following roads will be closed to traffic:
• Calle Lanzarote.
• Calle Teide in the section between Calle Roque Nublo and Calle Los Afrechos. Calle Los Afrechos, in the section between Calle El Toscón and Calle Teide.
The Town Hall asks users of these roads, both drivers and pedestrians, to pay due attention to the signs that will be placed for this purpose.
Access to vehicle traffic, as well as bus and taxi stops, will be affected due to the celebration of the Great Carnival Parade of Puerto del Carmen on Saturday 25 from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. On the maps you can see the most important cuts and the locations of public transport stops.
