Juana De la Rosa González, new general director of Child and Family Protection

The teacher has been appointed this Monday to replace Sandra Rodríguez, who resigned last Thursday.

Juana De la Rosa González has been appointed this Monday as the new general director of Child and Family Protection, replacing Sandra Rodríguez, who resigned last Thursday. The appointment took place at a meeting held in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

González holds a degree in Teaching of General Basic Education from the Complutense University of Madrid and in Training and Updating in Management of Educational Centers from the Autonomous University of Madrid.

She has worked as a teacher for 32 years in different educational centers in Madrid and Tenerife. Her career as a teacher includes the implementation, as a mediating teacher, of a project for prevention of bullying inside and outside the classroom.

She has also been island director of Volunteering and Promotion of Social Inclusion in the Cabildo de Tenerife (November 2017-July 2019) and councilor of the island corporation in the opposition (from 2019 to 2023).

In addition, she has also carried out volunteer work in Burgos and Calcutta.
