Jesús Machín consolidates his absolute majority in Tinajo

With 100% of the votes counted, the nationalist candidate reaches nine councilors

The mayor of Tinajo, Jesus Machín

The candidate of the Canarian Coalition Jesús Machín remains the great bet of the party and consolidates his absolute majority in Tinajo. The current mayor has revalidated his position and celebrates a comfortable victory in the face of the fall of his political formation in the rest of the municipalities of the island.

With 100% of the votes counted, the nationalist party wins two councilors and places the list headed by Machín as the main one in the municipality with nine councilors. The mayor already obtained an absolute majority in the 2019 elections and also in those of 2015.

For Machín, his success lies in the daily work and in campaigning during the four years of his mandate, as he declared minutes after knowing his victory before the microphones of Radio Lanzarote - Onda Cero.

Awaiting the final results, the Socialist Party would be positioned as the second political force with two councilors and 15% of the votes, followed by the Renovating Movement of Tinajo - New Canaries (MRT-NC) that loses a councilor and is placed as the third force with two councilors and 14%.

Meanwhile, in nationalist niches such as Teguise or Arrecife, the Canarian Coalition has lost its position as the first political force.
