Haría will streamline procedures and increase the amount of transportation scholarships for students

The Council has approved the new bases for these subsidies, with the aim of renewing the 2013 bases that do not adapt to the needs and reality of the municipality's school community.

Haria Plenary Session on Scholarship Rules

The Haría City Council will streamline the procedures and increase the amount of scholarships for student transportation in the municipality. This has been agreed by the Corporation in the last Plenary session held, in which the new bases for subsidies for transportation have been initially approved.

The Government group has agreed to take this measure in order to facilitate procedures for students, so that they can receive the benefits in a timely manner and that it represents immediate help in each school year.

The Councilor for Education, Paula Montero, explained that the previous bases date from 2013, so they do not adapt to the needs and reality of the municipality's school community, the main reason why the approval of the new bases has been decided.

Likewise, the councilor highlights that among the actions that are planned is the increase in the amount per beneficiary, which will go from 500 euros per beneficiary to 700 euros per student.

From the City Council, it is recalled that the deadline to correct the documentation for the Transportation Aid for studies outside the Island of the 2020/2021 academic year is currently open. Students will have until September 13 to submit said documentation at the Registry of entry or at the Electronic Headquarters.
