The Haría City Council opens the call to apply for transportation aid corresponding to the academic year 2024/2025. This initiative, published this Wednesday in the Official Gazette of the Province of Las Palmas No. 115, aims to facilitate the travel of young people who are studying outside the municipality and the island.
The mayor of Haría, Alfredo Villalba, highlights the importance of this action as part of the City Council's commitment to the future of the municipality's youth. "With this aid we want to reduce the economic barriers faced by many families and support our students on their educational path," he says.
For her part, the Councilor for Education, Evelia García, emphasizes that "these scholarships are a fundamental tool so that no student is left without their education." "We will continue working to facilitate equal conditions," she stresses.
These grants will cover air, sea or land transport expenses, incurred between July 25, 2024 and July 24, 2025. Students registered in Haría may apply for aid for enrollment in high school, training cycles, university studies, master's degrees or postgraduate studies.
The deadline for submitting applications is one month from the publication of the announcement in the BOP. The procedure must be carried out through the electronic headquarters of the City Council.
The application form can be downloaded from the Haría City Council website, in the Forms section. Together with the request, the required documentation must be submitted: proof of identity, registration and payment of the course, certificate of residence, responsible declaration and registration of third parties.
