The Haría City Council has formalized the signing of a contract with the company Lanzarote Bus for the provision of discretionary passenger transport service intended to cover the needs of
displacement linked to municipal activities. The contract has a budget of 40,000 euros and will have an initial duration of one year, with the possibility of extension for up to a maximum of four years.
The mayor, Alfredo Villalba, highlights the importance of having a service of these characteristics to “continue strengthening citizen participation and access to municipal activities.” “This contract allows us to guarantee a fundamental resource for the municipality, as it facilitates the mobility of our residents and supports the development of numerous activities,” he indicates.
"With this agreement we give stability and security to a service that is key for the organization of events and actions aimed at the citizenry, thus reinforcing the commitment of the City Council with the accessibility and social and cultural revitalization of the municipality," adds Villalba.
This service will allow to have transport for different initiatives organized from the municipal areas, facilitating the transfer of the residents, female residents and groups of the municipality in cultural, educational, sports or social activities, as well as in other events or programs promoted by the institution.
For the provision of services in ordinary situations, the contract establishes that the request must be made with at least two business days' notice, which will allow for the efficient organization of the necessary travel for the development of municipal activities.
