Haría will kick off the 2026 carnivals with one of the most outstanding events of the festive program, the Gran Coso Inclusivo, a parade that brings together the entire educational community of the island in a day dedicated to coexistence and participation.

The northern City Council, through the areas of Education and Social Welfare and with the collaboration of the island Council, recovers this initiative, which will be held next February 27 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, consolidating itself as a festive space that promotes inclusion and collective participation.

The mayor, Alfredo Villalba, points out that “the parade returns to being a very special day where numerous educational centers from all over the island are involved and which counts on the participation of the enclave classrooms”. “It is about creating a space where everyone feels welcome and can enjoy the party,” he emphasizes.

For her part, the Councilor for Welfare, Evelia García, emphasizes that “this parade has become a benchmark, not only in Lanzarote but also in the Canary Islands. Hundreds of children will enjoy a fun day where diversity is valued and the participation of all is guaranteed, regardless of their physical, mental, social or cultural condition.

The parade will depart from the vicinity of CEIP San Juan and will travel through the main streets of the municipality to the Plaza de Haría. At this point, performances are planned by the students, the inclusive batucada of Creciendo Yaiza, and the inclusive murga Las Inadaptadas, the only one of its kind in Lanzarote.

El Coso will have the participation of the 26 enclave classrooms and specific schools on the island, the four educational centers, the three CEIPs and the IES, as well as the Amavir senior residence, the day center, and the municipal nursery.

The poster for this edition has been developed by Gio Santana, an artist with a hearing disability, thus reinforcing the commitment of the Haría Carnival 2026 to inclusion and diversity.
