The Casa de la Cultura Agustín de la Hoz hosts starting at 7:30 PM this Friday the 7th, a new event in the 'Conciertos Hablados' cycle, an initiative promoted by Cultura Arrecife, directed by councilwoman Abigail González, along with the Lanzarote musician and researcher Ciro Corujo.
On this occasion, the stage will bring together four members of the renowned Corujo saga for the show 'Maestro', a proposal that combines musical performance with narration to bring the audience closer to the stories, emotions, and experiences that give meaning to each piece.
“The Corujo family has made, and continues to make, an extraordinary contribution to Canarian folklore and constitutes an essential reference for the cultural identity of the Archipelago,” highlights Abigail González.
With admission until full capacity, 'Maestro' "will allow us to enjoy Canarian and traditional popular music from a family whose name is written in golden letters in the cultural heritage of our Archipelago,” adds the councilwoman.
More than a concert
Ciro Corujo will lead the performance of Toñín Corujo, Cirito Corujo Lafont, and Néstor Castro Corujo, conceived to go beyond the traditional concert format. Through their explanations and dialogue with the audience, the music will become a vehicle to discover the context, inspiration, and legacy that each composition holds.
With this new session, ‘Conciertos Hablados’ continues to consolidate itself as one of the most unique proposals in Cultura Arrecife's programming, fusing performance, dissemination, and heritage before the public, and bringing citizens closer to outstanding creators and musicians linked to Lanzarote and Canarian culture.
