The former High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell speaks on the morning of this Friday, July 17, at the San José Castle in Arrecife, the capital of Lanzarote.
Under the title Europe at the Crossroads, Josep Borrell analyzes the current international geopolitical scenario, marked by tensions in the Middle East, the war in Ukraine, the new balance between major powers, and the challenges facing Europe in terms of security, defense, economic competitiveness, energy, and international relations.
The former High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and former Vice-President of the European Commission is one of the European political figures with the greatest international projection.
Throughout his career, he has been President of the European Parliament, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Spain, and, between 2019 and 2024, responsible for the European Union's foreign policy during one of the most complex periods in the continent's recent history.
