The Councilor of Coalición Canaria in the Arrecife City Council, Encarna Páez, confesses that the entry of Pedro San Ginés and José Montelongo to the electoral lists of the nationalist party for the municipality displaced her from the position that they had promised her in the same week in which her mother died.

"It is very sad that everything that happened to me happened in the same week that, unexpectedly, I had buried my mother two days ago. They even took advantage of the situation, so as not to give me time to think and all by telephone", she confessed during the morning program of Radio Lanzarote-Onda Cero.

The current Councilor for Festivities of the Arrecife City Council, relates that "she is not happy" with not repeating on the party lists and asks Coalición Canaria to "not be deceiving" the citizens.

"They have been asking me since December if I want to continue, that they want to count on me and when, all of a sudden, they offer me what they knew I was not going to take", Páez points out. According to her narration: "The last thing they offered me was number seven, the one I have now from 2019, and I accepted and an hour and a half later they call me that it couldn't be, that if I wanted another one and I said, look, I am not begging in the parties".

The member of Coalición Canaria affirms that from the party they "already had the intention" of not taking her, "and I speak like this because that is how it is and whoever is bothered by it, I am more bothered that they have been using me for all this".

Encarna Páez takes the opportunity to remember her relationship with the political formation. "I am a party woman, I have been in Coalición Canaria for 30 years, I was the one who helped excavate the foundations and also put the roofs on the party and I am going to be there, I am going to be there but not active",

In this line, she wants it to "be clear" that she "did want to go" to the elections with Coalición, but that it was the party that made the decision. At this moment, the councilor narrates that sources from the political formation have assured her that they "were wrong" in not taking her on the list. However, she questions that the slates could be modified until last April 24.

After this meeting, the councilor explains that "I am not going to the meetings, I am not going accompanying because we could go that far. One thing, you are not going to want me for another because by chance what position they offered him the eighth".

Finally, the nationalist has recalled that she "has always had the microphones open" of Radio Lanzarote.
