The municipalist formation has denounced the situation of "lack of maintenance and deterioration" of the Mirador de Haría, one of the most important tourist and social enclaves of the municipality. Thus, they criticize that, "in addition to the closure of the same for the entire month of July, the state of the installation is still of total neglect".

“The closure of the Mirador Haría for the entire month of July is another symptom of the lack of planning and seriousness of Alfredo Villalba's government. Furthermore, at this time, the situation of the infrastructure is deplorable,
with many of its facilities in absolute deterioration and with risk to the safety of visitors”, argues its spokesperson, Chaxiraxi Niz.

The Hariana organization, which attaches graphic evidence on the state of El Mirador, recalls that during the entire month of July the government of Alfredo Villalba “not only had the unfortunate occurrence of closing the
Mirador in one of the months with the highest influx of visitors to the municipality, but lied by saying that this closure was due to maintenance work”, they sentence.

Compromiso por Haría will present a municipal motion to revitalize the Mirador

The organization has reported that it will present a motion to revitalize the space with the aim of ensuring its proper maintenance and its uninterrupted use. “It is essential to find a specific purpose
for the Mirador de Haría, as it is currently underutilized. From CxH we believe that this space could be valued as a strategic point for the promotion of culture and the
heritage of our municipality. Another viable option would be to sit down with the Cabildo de Lanzarote to study the possibility of them assuming its management and exploitation, thus taking advantage of their resources and experience in this type of infrastructure”, says Niz.

“We have to put an end to the apathy of Alfredo Villalba's government, which affects things as relevant to the municipality as the closure of first-rate monumental facilities. We will present a motion so that the Mirador de Haría has maintenance, cleaning and constant use, up to the level that the municipality of Haría deserves”, concludes Chaxiraxi Niz.
