The waters continue to be choppy in the People's Party of Lanzarote. This Wednesday, the island organization has canceled the Board of Directors that was to be held next Monday, September 21, with the sole objective of convening the congress on the island.

This comes after last Monday it became known to the media that the party had reached an agreement with José Valle, who would have accepted the popular proposal to assume the leadership of the party and would be the candidate for the presidency in the insular congress to be held next November 7. This is what sources close to the People's Party indicated to La Voz, placing the agreement in recent dates, after several months of conversations aimed at finding a profile capable of garnering the support of the different sensitivities of the party.

However, after it became known to the media, there have been internal movements by some party members close to the current president, Ástrid Pérez, which have led to the de-convening of the Executive Committee.

Update, Pending Amplification
