The CC councilor in the Arrecife City Council, Jacobo Lemes, has tested positive for Covid, as he himself has confirmed to La Voz. "I have had a high fever and aches. The truth is that it is quite unpleasant," he pointed out.
Lemes' positive for coronavirus has led to the confinement of the councilor in the capital, Echedey Eugenio, as a close contact. However, he has tested negative for Covid. "Boredom is my only symptom," said Eugenio, who, however, will have to remain in isolation for ten days as required by the protocol.
It was on Monday when Jacobo Lemes tested positive for Covid, although he stated that he began to have symptoms on Friday, which was when he was in contact with his colleague Eugenio. However, he pointed out that that day he went "to the Emergency Room" and tested negative for Covid. "At two in the morning on Monday, I couldn't stand the pain and that's when I tested positive," explained the CC councilor, who detailed that he has "aches all over his body." "It's like the flu, but multiplied by 10," he added.
Regarding how he could have been infected, Lemes says that he believes it could have been in the City Council, where he assures that "there are several cases" of workers who have tested positive, although he has not specified whether he was in contact with any of them. "I have not been to any party, in any bar, and I am quite careful," the councilor assured.
