The national deputy and insular secretary of the PSOE of Lanzarote, María Dolores Corujo, has expressed her "confidence" that the Prosecutor's Office of the Supreme Court will proceed to the dismissal of the complaint filed by the lawyer of Coalición Canaria and current insular director of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, David Montes, once the Prosecutor's Office of Arrecife has forwarded it to the aforementioned body.
"The Prosecutor's Office of Arrecife is incompetent to summon me to testify due to my status as a deputy, and it must be the Prosecutor's Office of the Supreme Court that conducts the Pre-procedural Investigations," Corujo stated.
The insular secretary of the PSOE recalled that this is a complaint filed by the lawyer of Coalición Canaria and current insular director of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, David Montes, "based on falsehoods and half-truths with a clear political objective."
"Now is the time for the Pre-procedural Investigations, but as soon as they are dismissed, as I trust will happen, the time will come to demand accountability from whoever has filed a false complaint to fulfill a political assignment," she concluded.
