On the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, Coalición Canaria has sent a clear and resounding message this November 25th: no woman should feel alone in the face of violence. The organization's Secretary of Equality, Migdalia Machín, highlighted the importance of reinforcing real and close support for victims and strengthening protection measures.

"The fight against gender-based violence is not limited to establishing norms, it begins by truly listening," she pointed out. In this regard, she insisted that accompaniment begins by **offering a safe space** where each woman can express her experience without fear, without pressure, and without having to justify her story.Coalición Canaria emphasizes that the institutional response must be based on clear regulations and trained professionals, but also on a responsible attitude from all of society. "The recovery of a woman who is a victim of violence is only possible when we guarantee respectful treatment, sensitive care, and a process that does not re-victimize," added the head of the Equality Secretariat

On this November 25th, the nationalist organization reiterates its commitment to continue working so that all women find real, close, and respectful support, and that none feel alone in a process that requires support, attention, and understanding.

“Accompanying saves lives. And listening is always the first step,” she concluded
