Coalición Canaria (CC) presented this Monday the investments planned for Lanzarote and La Graciosa in the Draft Law of General Budgets of the Autonomous Community for 2026, which amount to 147 million euros, as well as those from the 2025 settlement, which total 4 million, and those that will be included in the accepted amendments for 8 million euros; this will represent a historic record of investment in 2026 by the Government of the Canary Islands of 159 million euros.
The Lanzarote parliamentarians from the Canarian Nationalist Group, David Toledo, Oswaldo Betancort, and Cristina Calero, and the general secretary of CC in Lanzarote and La Graciosa, Pedro San Ginés, highlighted this "unprecedented investment that prioritizes the welfare system," by the Government chaired by Fernando Clavijo, "based on the improvement of healthcare and social services, housing, and water supply."
"We are facing the greatest investment effort in Lanzarote's entire historical record, with a 10% growth, one point higher than the regional average. Not only is last year's figure surpassed, but an island project that responds to people's real priorities is reinforced. Now it's time to try to translate them into effective works and services for the people of Lanzarote and La Graciosa," said Pedro San Ginés.

The president of the Canarian Nationalist Group and national secretary of Organization of CC highlighted "the 18.8 million euros that will be allocated to housing, of which 11.3 will be for the rehabilitation of homes in neighborhoods and 5.5 for the construction of public housing, which will be added to the 201 homes under construction in Maneje and 42 homes purchased in Playa Blanca, as well as the 136 homes under review in Yaiza and others in Arrecife”.
