The Cabildo of Lanzarote, through the Area of Transport and Mobility, has authorized the reinforcement of the intercity bus service to Caleta de Famara, requested by the City Council of Teguise on the occasion of the festivities of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart of Mary; specifically, during the weekend of August 29 to 31.
The resolution establishes special services of line 28 (Arrecife-Teguise-Famara) for both outbound and return trips.
The Minister of Transport, Miguel Ángel Jiménez, has stated that "this measure reinforces the safe and efficient mobility of residents and visitors during very important dates for the municipality. The collaboration between the Cabildo, the City Council of Teguise and Arrecife Bus S.L. is essential to offer a quality service that responds to the needs of the population. We want everyone to be able to enjoy the festivities without worries," said the councilor.
For her part, the mayoress of Teguise, Olivia Duque, added that "together with the increase in intercity buses, we have also agreed to reinforce the taxi service during the festivities, thus facilitating different public transport options."
In addition, the reinforcement of the service will have the collaboration of the Local Police to maintain order.
Schedules and routes of the special services
The schedules and frequencies available for Friday the 29th, on the occasion of the night dance, are as follows: the buses will leave from Arrecife at 22:00, 22:30, 23:30 and 00:00 hours, and the return from Caleta de Famara will be at 1:00, 1:30, 2:30, 3:00, 4:00, 4:30 and 5:00 hours.
For the daytime dance on Saturday the 30th, the departure from the capital will be at 15:00, 15:30, 16:30 and 17:00 hours, with return at 23:00, 23:30, 00:30 and 1:00 hours.
Finally, on Sunday the 31st, coinciding with the daytime dance, the buses will leave from Arrecife at 13:00, 14:00 and 14:30 hours and return at 17:00, 18:00, 18:30 and 19:30 hours.
