César Reyes surpasses Juan Félix Eugenio in endorsements in the PSOE primaries in Tías

The general secretary of UGT in Lanzarote, César Reyes, has obtained 53 endorsements to run in the PSOE primaries in Tías. Reyes is ahead of former councilor Juan Félix Eugenio in this race, who has obtained about 28 endorsements, out of the 92 PSOE members in this municipality.

This Tuesday afternoon, the Island Guarantees Commission will meet, made up of three members of the island leadership and four from the island committee. These people will open the envelopes with the endorsements and check if they are correct.

After that, both César Reyes and Juan Félix Eugenio will be proclaimed candidates for the PSOE primaries on October 19. During this time, between the 12th and 18th of this month, both will have to carry out their internal campaign and convince the members, who are the ones who will have the last word.

On the other hand, the PSOE will also elect José Brito as the PSOE candidate for Mayor of Teguise this Tuesday. He is the only person who has presented himself, so "there is no need to hold primaries". "The endorsements will be checked if they are correct and that's enough," explained the Secretary of Organization of the PSOE in Lanzarote, José Juan Cruz Saavedra.
