Coalición Canaria (CC) in San Bartolomé denounces the "lack of transparency" of the mayor of this municipality, Isidro Pérez, "for refusing to clarify before the plenary session of the Corporation, and therefore before the citizens, the abuse of extrajudicial debt recognitions by the government group".
Specifically, according to the nationalist municipal spokesperson, David Rocío, throughout the past year the San Bartolomé City Council disbursed a total of "567,239.43 euros to face the payment of 81 files outside the budget, which means poor management by the PSOE of the municipal accounts by resorting to a figure that shows that the procedure has not been correct".
Rocío considers "the mayor's refusal in the extraordinary plenary session, held on December 14 at the request of the opposition, to create a commission of investigation to thoroughly study the 81 files approved by said procedure in the course of nine plenary sessions" lamentable.
In this sense, the municipal spokesperson for CC rejects that "the government group of San Bartolomé turns a mechanism that the regulations contemplate as exceptional, such as the extrajudicial recognition of debt, into something habitual in each plenary session held by the Corporation".
