The Nationalist Group in the Cabildo of Lanzarote has expressed its "deep regret" for the death this Thursday of the researcher and chronicler Agustín Pallarés Padilla, named "Adopted Son of Lanzarote" in 2016 and also distinguished by the Board of Official Chroniclers of the Canary Islands as "Memorialist" of the year 2015.

“Faced with such sad news, we extend our deepest condolences to all his family, loved ones and friends,” the nationalists point out.

“We are losing a great researcher, documentarian and scholar of the historical and cultural past of Lanzarote, a master of our history with whom we will always have an eternal debt,” they add.
