Pedro San Ginés will run as a candidate in second place for the Parliament of the Canary Islands and the Arrecife City Council, as Radio Lanzarote-Onda Cero had anticipated. This Thursday afternoon, the Insular Political Council of the Canarian Coalition in Lanzarote unanimously approved the electoral lists that will be presented to the municipal, island and autonomous institutions for the elections of next May 28. The lists will then be ratified by the National Political Council on April 10.
San Ginés' candidacy is announced without the investigation opened in a Court of Instruction of Arrecife being closed, where the indications of the alleged crimes of belonging to a criminal group or organization, prevarication, embezzlement, fraud against the administration, document forgery, bribery and money laundering in the case known as the San Ginés case are analyzed.
In this line, the former president of the Cabildo will not be the only one who will double up for the elections, the current mayor of Teguise, Oswaldo Betancort, will run as head of the list for the Cabildo of Lanzarote and number four, on the list headed by Migdalia Machín, for the Parliament of the Canary Islands for the constituency of Lanzarote and La Graciosa.
In the nationalist list for the Arrecife City Council, Echedey Eugenio will head the list. The island secretary of the Canarian Coalition, Migdalia Machín, has pointed out that "it has been a long process because consensus and dialogue are vital for the Canarian Coalition project. Thanks to that, we have managed to unite experience, knowledge and youth to create balanced and strong teams. Lanzarote needs us".
The nationalist leader wanted to thank the involvement of all the committees and members of the different bodies of the party, stressing that "Canarian Coalition is a party in which we have great values and people very prepared and committed to work and fight for the interests of each of the people who reside in Lanzarote and La Graciosa from any institution".
Migdalia Machín stressed that "respect for the transparency of procedures and for the role that each party body must play has been and is fundamental for CC to be an example of internal democracy".
The following are the names that make up the lists of the Canarian Coalition for the Cabildo of Lanzarote, headed by Oswaldo Betancort, for the Parliament of the Canary Islands, headed by Migdalia Machín, and for the different town councils, whose heads of list are: Echedey Eugenio (Arrecife), Víctor Robayna (Haría), Jesús Machín (Tinajo), Olivia Duque (Teguise), David Rocío (San Bartolomé), Amado Vizcaíno (Tías) and Emilio Machín (Yaiza).
