Tías hosts a free advice service to improve digital skills

The initiative offers in-person training actions, with individualized attention service, initial diagnosis through a survey for detecting digital needs, and an e-Room for support in daily procedures and errands

The training room of the Tías Town Hall, located next to the Tourism office in the main building of the council, hosts until next August the advisory, tutoring and workshop service to help the citizens of Lanzarote in the use of computers, phones and other technological devices.

The mayor of Tías, José Juan Cruz, and the first deputy mayor, Nicolás Saavedra, visited the space to show one more year their support for this initiative, which aims to reduce the digital divide and improve the technological skills of people in vulnerable situations or with difficulties in accessing digital resources.

The project has been promoted by the Government of the Canary Islands through the General Directorate of Social Services and Immigration of the Ministry of Social Welfare, Equality, Youth, Childhood and Families; and is being executed by the company Inter-ven with the aim of advancing in access to new technologies.

This service is provided at the municipal facilities, from 09:00 to 13:00 hours, with in-person training activities, with individualized attention service, initial diagnosis through a digital needs detection survey, and an e-Room for support with everyday procedures and errands.
