The mayor of Arrecife, Astrid Pérez, has publicly thanked Councilor Carlos Alférez for the "work carried out" in the city government and, "especially", in what until this Wednesday has been his responsibility at the head of the Subsidies Unit, after announcing his decision to resign before the entry of CC into the government. "I find it impossible to share government tasks with a formation that uses lies and harassment as a political weapon," the councilor said in a letter addressed to the mayor.

Pérez "respects the personal decision to leave the government group" that Carlos Alférez has adopted, although she "deeply regrets it."

"In the meantime, during all this time, Alférez has demonstrated his loyalty to this mayor's office and the municipal government, showing day by day with his work the commitment he maintains with this city and his desire to collaborate to improve it", the mayor pointed out.

"Carlos Alférez has shared our objective of doing everything possible to get Arrecife ahead and improve the lives of citizens, and with this objective and that great goal, all the hands that add up will always be few", acknowledged Astrid Pérez, who trusts that Alférez "will continue contributing to the improvement of the city in his capacity as councilor who will continue to be part of the corporation".
