Arrecife publishes the provisional list of those admitted for university student transportation aid

Beneficiaries will receive a maximum amount of up to 350 euros, depending on the final list of admitted students

The Arrecife City Council published this Tuesday the provisional list of those admitted to the call for grants for university students residing in Arrecife who are studying outside the island in the current academic year 2021-2022.

The mayor Astrid Pérez emphasizes "the economic effort that this Government Group has made to increase the items." "They started with 170,000 euros in 2019, we have raised it to 200,000 euros this year, and an amount of 250,000 euros has already been budgeted for 2022-2023, in addition to the work done to speed up the processing and payment of these," adds the mayor. 

From the Consistory they detail that those admitted in the call for this academic year are a total of 551, in addition to having 8 applications rejected for not attending to the correction and 7 denied that will have until June 13 to present allegations. 

"Once the allegations that are presented have been attended to, we will approve the final list that we will take to the ordinary plenary session on the last Friday of June and then it will be passed to the Treasury Department to proceed with the deposit in the bank accounts of the applicants," says the Councilor for Education, Saro González.

The beneficiary students, university or higher-level training cycles who are studying outside the island, will receive a maximum of 350 euros, depending on the final list of admitted students. From the Consistory they remember that in the call for the academic year 2020-2021 there were 591 students who were able to access these grants, with an amount of 338 euros.
