Arrecife pays social action subsidies to 16 associations

The City Council points out that "the total amount paid has been 466,438.55 euros" and explains that the purpose of the subsidies is to "promote projects in the area of Social Services of municipal competence"

The Arrecife City Council, through the Department of Social Services, has paid social action subsidies "to 16 associations of which a total of 22 projects are listed. The total amount paid has been 466,438.55 euros. These subsidies are given with the aim of promoting projects in the area of Social Services of municipal competence", they point out from the Consistory.

The mayoress of Arrecife, Astrid Pérez, appreciates "the great work carried out by the associations and congratulates them for the good work they do daily to meet the needs and improve the quality of life of the most vulnerable social groups."

For her part, the Councilor for Social Services, María Jesús Tovar, highlights that upon her arrival at the town hall she saw the "need to increase the items for social action subsidies" due to the "great importance" they have in society. “When we arrived at the town hall, the item allocated for social action subsidies was 170,000 euros and we have increased it to improve the actions carried out by the associations.”
