City Council workers from Arrecife have changed the speed bumps this Friday that the same City Council had installed months ago on León y Castillo street, at the height of the Altavista neighborhood.
As confirmed by Deputy Mayor Echedey Eugenio to La Voz, residents and drivers had complained about the noise that this system made as vehicles passed and, in addition, about the possible damage it could cause to cars.
Now, these speed bumps "have been replaced by systems that perform the same function but dampen better when driving at the appropriate speed".
These elevations are installed on roads to force drivers to reduce speed and are mainly used in school zones, residential areas, or pedestrian crossings.
