The Department of Social Welfare and Equality of the Arrecife City Council, directed by Maite Corujo, will install Violet Points during the San Ginés 2025 festivities as part of its commitment to prevent and act against any form of sexist violence in the festive environment.
These safe spaces, staffed by specialized personnel, will offer information, support and attention to women who have suffered an aggression, as well as guidance to those who witness a risky situation.
This Saturday, August 16, the Violet Point will be operational during the Popular Verbena in the Ramírez Cerdá Park, while on Saturday the 23rd it will be installed in the same space, but with a mobile team that will tour the various events of Arrecife Joven, the Fiesta de la Chola and the Popular Verbena.
Maite Corujo has stressed that "our goal is to ensure that the San Ginés festivities are truly safe for everyone" and recalled that, in any emergency, you should contact the telephone numbers 112, 091, 016 or 012.
