The Arrecife City Council is offering an extensive program of concerts and activities between this weekend and the first few days of January to celebrate Christmas in different venues across the capital of Lanzarote, as part of the revitalization plans promoted by the Municipal Government led by Mayor Yonathan de León.
Part of this great programming had to be rescheduled due to the inclement weather from Storm Emilia last weekend, the first weekend when all this musical programming kicked off in ArrecifeThe city's mayor, Yonathan de León, accompanied by the Councilor for Events and Celebrations, Óscar López, and the Councilor for Tourism, Commerce, and Sports, and PP spokesperson, Eli Merino, presented this Friday at a press conference a preview of all the concerts and proposals promoted by the capital's City Council to boost Arrecife as the capital of shopping, leisure, and events. A series of concerts, all free of charge, which complement the extensive Christmas program organized directly by different municipal departments.
The mayor congratulates himself that the rehabilitated Plaza de Las Palmas, next to the church of San Ginés, is one of the epicenters of the Christmas celebration in Lanzarote this year. These concerts reinforce the good atmosphere that this historic enclave of the city already offers with its food stalls.
Christmas Concert Menuda Cantera
Thus, on the morning of this Saturday, the 20th, the Menuda Cantera Christmas Concert will be offered at 11:30 AM in Plaza de Las Palmas, with performances by members of the Toñín Corujo Music School

The concert "Sinatra in Christmas Tribute" arrives in the city of Arrecife. The Department of Events and Activities organizes multiple performances and concerts as part of the Christmas program, and one of them will be this great proposal, for Saturday the 20th, at 9 PM, in Parque Islas Canarias. With arrangements and compositions by Nelson Riddle, Sammy Nestico, Quincy Jones, and Billy May, in the most representative repertoire of the singer known as "The Voice."

The Christmas concert by the El Rubicón Folk Group, scheduled for last weekend, has been rescheduled for December 27, in the square next to the San Ginés church.

Los Coquillos will perform on the morning of the 24th in Plaza de Las Palmas. Tabaiba, which will perform on New Year's Eve in Arrecife, is a Spanish-Venezuelan musical group that emerged in 2019 in the city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Fran Valenzuela will perform the art of Alejandro Sanz in his tribute that he will offer in Arrecife on January 3, 2026.
Each day, the Department of Acts and Events, and the Department of Commerce, respectively, will disseminate this extensive program among residents and visitors. Its objective, in addition to the fun and joy of the citizens, is to energize Arrecife as the capital of shopping, leisure, events, and good gastronomic offerings.
