The Department of Cleaning of the City Council of Arrecife, directed by Jacobo Lemes, has launched a new communication channel through WhatsApp to reinforce attention to citizens in everything related to the collection of belongings.

From now on, residents can make their requests and inquiries at the number 629 793 705, operating from 08:00 to 15:00 hours. Until now, the only available route was the landline 928 815 560, which registered a high volume of calls and, on many occasions, made it difficult to meet all the demand.

With this new service, the Cleaning Area seeks to streamline communication, provide faster responses and offer more efficient attention to the population.

The Councilor for Cleaning, Jacobo Lemes, has highlighted that "the launch of this WhatsApp channel will allow citizens to contact in a more comfortable, direct and agile way, which will result in a more effective service and better management. Our commitment is to continue working to respond to the needs of the residents of Arrecife, and this is an important step in that direction."

Likewise, the mayor recalls that the campaign "Leaving belongings on the street can be expensive" is still active, with the aim of raising awareness among the population about the need to collaborate in maintaining the cleanliness of the city.

From the Department of Cleaning it is insisted that "it is not enough to reinforce the services or enable new communication lines: without citizen collaboration, the efforts are insufficient." "No matter how many measures we put in place, if there is no commitment from everyone, it's a bad thing," the councilor emphasizes.

The uncontrolled abandonment of belongings on public roads not only mars the image of Arrecife, but also entails economic sanctions that can be very harsh. To guarantee compliance with the regulations, the City Council has cameras that help identify those who violate municipal ordinances.

Jacobo Lemes reiterates his "concern and the constant effort of the Area he directs to attend to and respond to the needs of citizens." "We all have the same objective: to make Arrecife a clean and orderly place. For this reason, I make a call to the individual and collective responsibility of all the residents," he concludes.
