The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands has reported on the follow-up of the strike called by the doctors in protest against the proposal of the Ministry of Health for the reform of the Framework Statute. Specifically, in the health institutions of the Canarian Health Service (SCS) the follow-up has been 14.06% among the workers of this professional group, in the set of areas of Primary Care and Hospital Care.
Of the 7,100 personnel called to strike, 4,466 were affected by this call, of whom 628 joined it.
From the monitoring by health areas in Gran Canaria, 337 of the 1,786 affected personnel followed it, which represents 18.87%, while in Tenerife the follow-up was of 269 of the 2,106, that is, 12.77%.
For its part, in Lanzarote, 27 of the 282 professionals affected by the strike, 9.57%, joined the strike, in Fuerteventura, four of the 316 affected joined it, that is, 1.27%. For its part, in La Palma the follow-up was 3.68%, since six of the 163 affected went on strike, while in El Hierro and La Gomera there were no personnel on strike.
The morning shift this Monday, which has 1,302 personnel on minimum services, has passed without notable incidents.
