The Ministry of Universities, Science and Innovation of the Government of the Canary Islands, led by Migdalia Machín, has ordered a new payment of travel aid corresponding to the 2024/2025 academic year for a total amount of 300,240 euros.
This third resolution incorporates 834 grants awarded through direct payment within the application evaluation process, aimed at students pursuing studies at the University of La Laguna, the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and at other university centers outside the archipelago.
The aid corresponding to students enrolled in the Canary Islands public universities was already paid in previous resolutions. In addition, the latest provisional resolution of estimation and denial pending rectification has been notified, which affects 262 students enrolled in university centers outside the archipelago, whose processing continues according to the established procedure. With this new resolution, the Ministry considers 100% of the applications submitted by university students for this support line to have been managed.
In total, this line of aid has received 3,521 applications from students enrolled in the University of La Laguna, the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and in other university centers outside of the Canary Islands.
The processing is carried out through the Directorate General for Universities and Research, responsible for the management of the files linked to these aids.
