The mayor of Yaiza, Óscar Noda, hopes that the Cabildo of Lanzarote will soon resolve the "elimination of the danger" of the Uga crossing to La Geria, finishing the works of the roundabout that is "half done."

"The entrance lanes, auxiliary islands and signage are missing," they state from the Consistory, from where they point out that it was a project that the City Council proposed to finance since 2014 with funds from the Municipal Cooperation Plan of the island's Cabildo.

Óscar Noda affirms that “the Cabildo overcame the litigation for the expropriation of land that paralyzed the development of the project" and considers that "it is time to resume it in the interest of road safety.”

“We have held several meetings with those responsible for Roads of the Cabildo to transfer municipal concerns in the matter, seeking technical solutions in a framework of consensus that leads to the execution of projects. We never tire of defending inter-administrative cooperation as a necessary formula between administrations for the resolution of problems and attention to citizen demands,” says the Councilor for Works, Jonatan Lemes.
