Two out of ten residents in Lanzarote are foreigners. According to data released by the Lanzarote Data Center, 23% of the population registered on the island was born outside of Spain. In total, there are 35,571 foreigners registered out of the 156,112 residents.
In order, the British occupy the first place in foreign population, according to the number of people, representing 6% of foreigners. After them, Colombians, Italians, Moroccans, and Germans are the most frequent populations.
In fifth place, people from China, followed by natives of Romania, Cuba, Venezuela, France, India, Portugal, Dominican Republic, Argentina, Ecuador, Senegal, and the Netherlands. As well as people from other unspecified groups.
The continent with the highest representation among foreigners living in Lanzarote is Europe. In total, there are seven different types of European nationalities that make up 44% of the bulk of the foreign resident population.
The second most represented continent is America, with six nationalities that comprise 19.4% of the foreigners residing on the island. Far from these values, the African continent with 11.9% and the Asian continent with 6%.
