Three inflatable boats intercepted near Lanzarote this friday

There were 67 people on the first boat and it was transferred to Puerto Naos at 3.15am

Maritime Rescue rescued two precarious boats near the coast of Lanzarote in the early morning and during the morning of this Friday. 

On the first boat, which was spotted at 00.55 hours in the morning 55 nautical miles from Lanzarote, were traveling 67 people of sub-Saharan origin and for the moment it is unknown how many women and children there are among them. They were transferred to Puerto Naos where they arrived at about 3.15 hours in the morning. 

A land assistance team from the Red Cross attended to them on land and no transfer to Molina Orosa was necessary.

On the other hand, the Salvamar Caliope intercepted a new precarious boat at 08.45 hours on Friday morning, for the moment it is unknown how many people are traveling on board. They will be transferred to Puerto Naos at 10.00 hours. 

In addition, the Salvamar Al Nair has spotted another irregular boat with 69 people on board and is expected to arrive at the same port at about 14.15 hours this Friday.
