The Guardamar Caliope has rescued three precarious boats near the coasts of Lanzarote this Sunday morning, according to the Emergency Consortium.
Initial reports indicate that about 140 people could be traveling in the first two inflatable boats, but their origin is unknown. They have already been transferred to Puerto Naos where the Red Cross is assisting them on land.
At around 9 in the morning, the GUardamar Talía located the third boat with 67 people on board, including 3 sub-Saharan women. They are currently being transferred to Puerto Naos in Arrecife.
With these, there are already seven boats that have arrived in Lanzarote so far this year, this Friday and Saturday 230 migrants have been rescued, among whom there are women and minors.
