Daniel Hernández, gets first place in the phase of the Spanish Circuit Watercraft Championship in the GT2 category after winning the circuit held last Saturday, April 15, in Oropesa del Mar.

A young man of 20 years who has spent his whole life, "since he was little" dedicating himself to this sport, explains his trainer José Luis Hernández, who is also his father and manager. In addition, they both confess that "they are very happy" with the result.

Champion of the Canary Islands last year, Daniel confesses that "it has been a tremendous job" since he suffered "several accidents" during the test. A competition from which he has seen "the fruit later" after spending "fifteen days to go".

He recognizes that "he has learned a lot", thanks also to "the help of my teammates", who "picked him up when he fell" into the water.

A passion that he combines with his studies as Ship Captain and with his work as a Sailing Teacher in Playa Blanca. His taste for it, "comes from family", admits José Luis, who like him "I ran in my youth." So much is the affection that his father has transmitted to him, that Daniel always repeated this phrase "when I grow up I want to be like you".

"Everything has been the result of perseverance and strength that he has", recognizes his father, although "we still have to train much more." Something that he is going to do in preparation for the next phase of the championship, which will take place on May 5 in Málaga.
