The Ministry of Health adds that the opening of the center “allows the incorporation of the services of a midwife, case management nursing and social work”, which are currently provided at the Playa Blanca Local Clinic.

The Ministry of Health reports that the renovation works “have provided the center with a larger area, as the old police station is attached and has improved the construction quality of the facilities with the development and execution of an architecture and engineering proposal that provides energy efficiency to the building.”

The new facilities, of 230 square meters, have two multipurpose consulting rooms, one of them with access to the street, a medical consulting room and a nursing consulting room, lobby and reception, as well as two rooms, an office, changing rooms, warehouses and services, as detailed by the Ministry of Health.

Regarding the improvement of energy efficiency, the center has a remote control system for the electricity, air conditioning and fire protection installations that is managed by the maintenance service from the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital. The Ministry also adds that “a photovoltaic installation has been installed on the roof of the building to provide electrical energy.”

Finally, the Ministry of Health also highlights that the work carried out “has replaced the traditional roof with an inverted roof that prevents thermal transfer, the internal part of the walls has been covered to improve the insulation of the center and exterior carpentry with double glazing and blinds has been installed for solar control”
