Thousands of pilgrims are called to begin their journey to the town of Mancha Blanca this Saturday, September 9. The Los Dolores pilgrimage, one of the most important cultural and religious events in Lanzarote, will take place this weekend and this will be the weather forecast by the State Meteorological Agency.
From 7:00 a.m. this Saturday, Aemet expects very cloudy skies in the municipality of Tinajo, where the church of Los Dolores is located. Clouds will also be present to a lesser extent in Yaiza and Teguise. As the morning progresses, the town will see how the skies clear, having stretches of the day clear and others with few clouds.
The presence of clouds will move from noon and during the first hours of the afternoon to the municipalities of Tías, Yaiza and Arrecife and will end up affecting the entire island.
At around 6:00 p.m. this Saturday, the clouds will return to the sky of Tinajo. This is what Aemet predicts. In this sense, at the time of the beginning of the pilgrimage, at 7:00 p.m. the clouds will cover the sky of the municipality, which will remain affected until the following morning.
Regarding the average temperature expected for Saturday, it will be from 11:00 in the morning when the thermometer exceeds 25 degrees in several municipalities of the island, reaching its maximum in Arrecife, with 28 degrees at noon.
In the case of Tinajo, the estimated temperature at 7:00 p.m. in the afternoon will be 24 degrees.
The wind will also not blow especially in any part of the island, where the maximum gusts will be recorded in Teguise, with 35 kilometers per hour. The winds will be light in Lanzarote, from the north component and with crisas in the eastern area of the island. In addition, no rainfall is expected.
