It had been five years since her last concert on the island, but singer Noa did not disappoint the attendees at the concert offered at the Teatro de San Bartolomé this Tuesday, October 28. The public was able to enjoy good music, of mixtures and roots, with the spectacular voice of the Israeli singer, Noa, born in 1969 in Tel Aviv. In the concert, which was characterized by reviewing well-known songs, she presented her album "Genes & Jeans", which mixes roots and modernity, released on the market since January 2008.

Also noteworthy was the magnificent performance of her inseparable guitarist and musical director, Gil Dor, in addition to all the members of the band that accompanied her, Gadi Seri, the percussionist, Jean Paul Zimbris, on drums, Anat Firestone, on bass, and Gil Zohar, in charge of synthesizers.

A unique style, that of Noa and her band, which has received influences of all kinds. Starting with the music of Yemeni origin, in which she began training, passing through the pop she listened to during her youth, and the lyrics of the songwriter of well-known references such as Leonard Cohen, Joni Mitchell and Paul Simon, until reaching the jazz that musical director Gil Dor studied, without forgetting classical music and rock.

Noa has vibrated numerous stages around the world that have made her worthy of the prestige she currently has. Thus, she has received enormous applause in her performances with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra together with Gil Dor, under the baton of Zubin Metha, and together with artists such as Sting, Stevie Wonder, and other great musicians of international stature.

The concert, which was organized by the Social Work of La Caja de Canarias and the Education and Culture area of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, although the San Bartolomé City Council also collaborated, was also attended by some of her compatriots who hung an Israeli flag in the upper amphitheater.
