The towns of Yaiza and Playa Blanca enjoyed a spectacular evening full of happy moments cheered on by the visit of the three Wise Men from the East, who this Thursday once again toured the southern streets on camelback, very well accompanied by children's characters, animation groups, floats, jugglers and batucada music, a whole itinerary of illusion and joy that meant the great reunion of the municipality of Yaiza with its traditional parades after two years of pandemic.
Boys and girls, and also young people and adults who enjoyed like children, shouted the name of their favorite Wise Man, applauded as the procession passed, received sweets, participated in children's workshops, but above all they lived intensely and as a family this unrepeatable day of infinite joy and good wishes that everyone was waiting for with some nerves and anxiety.
The Three Kings parades did not disappoint; the faces of the public, the expressions of joy and the images that flooded social networks in a few minutes, make a better description than any text. First thing in the morning, the mayor, Óscar Noda, handed over the key to the municipality to the illustrious visitors.
Hundreds and hundreds of people, multiplying into the thousands, participated in the Three Kings parades surrounded by wonderful weather. The Kings finished their tour and then patiently attended to the boys and girls to hand out the inevitable cones of sweets.
The music set the mood, and in what way, for the visit of Melchor, Gaspar and Baltasar. In Yaiza, the batucada of the Los Timanfeiros troupe encouraged the crowd, and in Playa Blanca, Los Timanfeiros and Villapipol did so, in addition to the municipality's singer Verónica Lucía, on board one of the floats.
The Yaiza Town Council appreciates the kindness of the Three Wise Men and their entire accompanying group, as well as the organizational work of the team from the municipal Department of Festivities, led by Javier Camacho, and all the municipal staff, the performance of the Yaiza Local Police, emergency services and Civil Protection volunteers. The parades show that the illusion they awaken is infinite, whatever the age. The whole of Yaiza enjoyed it like a child.
