The Government group of Teguise announced the poster announcing the Carnival of Costa Teguise, La Villa and La Graciosa, which this year wanted to dedicate to the young people of the Teguise musical, proposing a costume related to the animation industry. "The Animated World" has been the allegory chosen to pay tribute and thank the work of the group of young artists of the municipality that, "under the direction of Sergio Niz, surprises every year the children's audience and their families with a production that combines music, live voices, costumes and choreography, through which they tell the best stories of the world of Disney and other great titles in the history of animation", they point out from the Consistory.
The Carnival of Teguise will start on February 27 and end on March 19 in La Graciosa, although from the 7th the workshop for making Diabletes masks will begin in the Municipal Tent of La Villa and subsequent exhibition of the works at La Casa de La Cultura de La Villa de Teguise. From the City Council they explain that the workshop will be free and that children can register (from 8 years old and accompanied by their parents), with limited places, which can be reserved by calling 928 59 48 02 (extension 3001).
On February 28 and March 1, the Murgas Meeting will take place at the Nautical Shopping Center in Costa Teguise, which will also host the Carnival Gala on Thursday, March 2. On Friday the 3rd, the Traditional Carnival will return to the Historic Site of La Villa, with the participation of groups from outside, such as Peliquerio de Ourense and the Arretrancos de Fuerteventura, as well as Las Mascaritas, the Bulls of Tao, Los Diabletes of Teguise or Los Buches of Arrecife.
