The boys and girls of the Ignacio Aldecoa school of Caleta de Sebo have become writers with the publication of the book "Tales of La Graciosa", a project of the school with the collaboration of the publishing house Fórmula Creativa, which has contributed to translate the stories and drawings into paper.
The book was presented at the school, where the 48 participating students were present, as well as its director, María Elena González; Mayte Pozo, writer, teacher of the school and coordinator of the project, as well as Cristina Romero, representative of Líneas Marítimas Romero, main sponsor of the book, and the councilor delegate in the island of La Graciosa, Alicia Páez.
As head of Education of Teguise, Javier Díaz congratulated “the enormous work of all the teaching staff and especially of Mayte, for devising and supporting the creation of this book”, but, above all, he congratulated “all the children for making our municipality greater with their imagination.” In this sense, the mayor thanked “the collaboration of all the companies that have contributed to make it come to light, even in these times, which is an example of community.”
In a first edition, 1,000 copies have been printed that can be purchased in the different shops of the Eighth Island for a price of 10 euros, with all the funds raised going to invest in material for the CEO Ignacio Aldecoa.
