The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has activated the yellow wind warning for this week starting Wednesday. This situation comes after the pre-alert declared this past Sunday for strong wind gusts that reached 80 kilometers per hour in areas like Arrecife.

Thus, this new yellow warning will begin at 00:00 hours this Wednesday and will extend until Thursday at 11:59 hours.

Aemet forecasts wind gusts of up to 70 kilometers per hour, especially in areas on the southern slopes of the island.

Regarding the forecast for this Wednesday, clear skies are expected, with some intervals in the north. There will be haze at altitude during the first half of the day and temperatures will hardly change. Temperatures could exceed 34 degrees in inland areas and on the southern and southeastern slopes.

The wind will blow moderately from the northeast with intervals of strong gusts in inland areas of the southern half, where locally very strong gusts are not ruled out.
